From what I have seen, hatred is more towards the boys. [Maybe due to reason since I read more news from Haryana and UP where this practice is rampant]. Yes the hatred coming from mothers too is equally shocking. Sometimes I think what’s the use of getting educated if we keep on following such things in our life. Awesome again Jotu, very practical issue in our society even 2day in the so called gen y 21st century, actually if u see the killings n hatred r directed more twds the girls, incidents of boys being killed r also there but not d same proportion as girls and mostly there 2 if u see the hatred comes from their mothers which is outright shocking for me. Well, I wud like 2 think that the couples who have withstood these things and gotten married wud not at least repeat the same when their turn comes around. Ok, n regarding equality, the discrimination is there since the acceptance of the discrimination is there in a bigger way, ppl 2day accept it as a way of life, like an unsaid rule, a rich guy shudnt fall in love with a comparatively financially not so luxurious girl n vice versa, n regd the castes n all though its prevalent mostly in the more illiterate strata of the society, I myself have come across some very highly educated ppl who 2 indulge in it [n very much saddened 2 c so]. And color discrimination is there in the minds of this generation itself, can’t throw it entirely on the parents. If you look around you honestly, u’ll find more than ample instances of it. And so much so, that fairness creams like fair n lovely, fair n handsome etc r having a field day – that says it all I guess

Literally you have covered it all.related to love..Guess just to add one thing is that,when a guy or girl love someone and get married ..if they really have to get separated for various reasons at least they will not regret because of the fact that it’s their decision..People always learn from their mistakes.
When it comes to Equality—more in terms of your thought about different castes..
i loved one of the scenes from “My name is khan” where khans(Rizwan) mother teaches him by drawing that, there are only two kinds of people. 1) Good people who do good things for mankind 2) bad people who do bad for mankind.

Awesome, and that 2 on one of my favourite topics, “MOTHER”, can go on and on abt this one, but really if u want 2 know what is GOD’s best creation its MOMs, that’s GOD’s true gift 2 mankind. I’ll even tell u one of my meticulous observations – Even restless n impatient girls after marriage and becoming a mom transform into calm mature women, I mean its almost unbelievable the metamorphosis a lady goes thru once she brings life onto this earth and that again is GOD’s gift 2 women [partial all good things 2 women]. And about mother’s love I guess no one needs 2 say anything there, how bad you are, whatever worst thing u have done, SHE is the one who will always forgive n embrace you, thank you GOD for creating MOMs, and last but not the least thank you MOM [for being my everything] (I know thanking you is an insult but do accept it as an honest appreciation from a son)

I like the tasks in Roadies, sometimes they r interesting, the politics n games are all a waste though, aah thanx NS for reminding us abt the Bournvita Quiz Contest, that was an awesome show, I never missed an episode, but at the end of the day reality shows have to be scripted since no one wants to see the reality they are watching everyday in their own lives, the audience wants something more to talk abt, so if these shows are garnering the TRPs, nobody to blame but the audience, these shows will keep coming till they reach the saturation point like the SAASBahu serials 2day

Nice writeup..but seriously I hate such reality shows. I expect atleast some kind of entertainment value from these shows and unless they provide that, I am not watching them. Though they call it reality show, almost 90% of its faked on TV. So where is the real reality TV? Everything is scripted in these shows right from the fight scenes to the dialouges they speak to each other. Each and every word is written by Ghost scriptwriters…in real life nobody does what they are shown doing.

The only reality type shows I believed in – SareGaMa [Not the one with Pa] when it was under Sonu Nigam….awesome show and atleast it gave dozens of talented real singers who still sing in Mainstream films and are big names now.

Closeup Antakshari – Under Annu Kapoor – Another awesome reality show providing wholesome entertainment.

Bournvita Quiz Contest – Another awesome show. Real Show, Real Quiz and Real Tensions. [Ok...The Rapidfire rounds are not shot as shown - they first shot it without camera on so that students answer rapidfire in relax form and then are again asked to repeat the same answers afterwards. - From my own experience of seen a real Quiz Contest on TV from the sets.]

Now you got the idea which type of non-fiction ala Real shows I like. Only these provided wholesome entertainment. Modern Day Reality shows do nothing except thinking 24×7 abt TRP. Only modern show which is different is Khatron Ke Khiladi. [Ok...I am sad Akshay got replaced - he was an awesome host]

Hahaha, this is a never-ending tussle, but in general there r 2 parts 2 it, girls have some pros n some cons, so do boys [looking at it absolutely objectively] but what I like most abt girls is how much and how quickly they can forgive, that is God’s gift to them [the rest all usual, they bear us, can bear pain etc r there]. But one thing that men do and is usually not given credit for is they care, in my humble opinion men are even more caring n protective than women, but if u put a gun on my head n ask me who’s better ? Statistically supporting Jotu’s stmt its boys hands down

One more thing from 90s era..DD Metro. The Ubercool and first channel launched for youth of India. And the sunday’s countdown program on it and also the program on Zee TV with Satish Kaushik and Pankaj kapoor…wadda kaun…tussi! Remember?

Daves Computer Game….awesome! Prince of Persia.
Chandrakanta..I remember a incident..when a teacher warned 2 of my classmates to lock them for entire saturday/sunday for punishment [she was joking ] and student’s first reaction was..mam..please no..else we will miss Chandrakanta! Gosh..they were not worried of food/water or scared…only Chandrakanta! Kroor Singh was cooler than Mogambo!
